I just received a $20,000 Project Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. I am really excited about my next body of work which is well underway.

Hello all

From June 19th to June 28th 2009, I have been invited to speak at the International Bentlage Print-Symposium at the Kloster Bentlage Cultural Centre and Museum, a converted monastery in an idyllic setting on the outskirts of Rheine, Germany.

This exceptionally well-equipped cultural centre with exhibition spaces and residence, cooperates in the form of partnerships with several Universities, Art Academies and Museums in the region including the Art Academy Münster, Germany, the Academy of Visual Arts and Design AKI ARTES in Enschede, Netherlands, the Picasso Museum Münster and the Falkenhof Museum Rheine.

I will be participating on several panels involving discussions and debate in regards to the topic “New Media and Tradition in Print: Interface or Dichotomy?” I will also give a presentation on my art practice. and will install several of my works in the main exhibition of the Symposium in one of the Museum Galleries. A catalogue will be published.

I also have been invited to exhibit at the new Municipal Museum of Art in Györ, Hungary 2010 with a handful of other Canadian Contemporary Print artists.
